Ex Nairobi governor turned blogger, Mike Sonko has come forward to offer an apology to Marini Naturals CEO Michelle Ntalami after alleging that her and the late Edwin Chiloba dated.
Early this week, Michelle wrote a heartfelt tribute to the late Chiloba who happened to be a close friend to her and Sonko might have misinterpreted their relationship.
Sonko had taken to his Instagram to accuse the two of being involved romantically.
“Kumbe the late Edwin Chiloba had an affair with @michelle.ntalami na walikuwa na mapenzi moto moto hadi jana Michele had to pen down a beautiful tribute to the late Edwin Chiloba recalling the first time they met and the beautiful moments they shared. Rest in peace, Edwin,”
That post did not impress Michelle at all, as she replied to him on that same post, asking him to stop creating propaganda about the matter and let the investigating authorities do their work.
“With all due respect, sir, please write/speak only about the things you are certain of. The late @its_edwinchiloba and I were friends. If you understood the dynamics, you would know a feminine woman like me would be the LAST person he’d be attracted to.
This is a sensitive matter. Stop propagating lies, let the DCI do their job, and let’s let Edwin rest. I’ve always held you in high regard, and I believe you are above this. Asante. 🙏🏾,” she wrote.
Sonko has apologized, saying that he regrets what he said and has asked Ntalami to forgive him.
‘Asante Sana Michelle for the respect you accord me and I assure you that I fully understand the dynamics in this situation so pole for losing a dear friend who adored you. I stand with Chiloba’s family and friends during this difficult moment, even as we wait for justice to be done over his death. May his soul rest in peace.” He concluded.
